...or dragon boats, at least.
Normally I'd be pestering people to sponsor me for some cycling challenge or other about this time of year. This year, I was asked if I wanted to be part of a team taking part in the dragon boat races at Ipswich waterfront on 2 June. The team's from Ipswich Canoe Club - as I'm the club's magazine editor, I didn't really feel able to decline!
The event is in aid of Fresh Start - New Beginnings, a local charity that helps young abuse victims to move on with their lives - a great cause that everyone should get behind.
It's looking like being a great day, with lots of teams from local organisations and businesses lining up to do battle with the paddles. So if you're not doing anything on 2 June, why not come down, cheer us on and spend a day enjoying the delights of Ipswich's lovely waterfront?
