Seemed like a good idea at the time

Maybe it was a lull in work, maybe it was nostalgia inspired by meeting up with an old friend, or simply a moment of bravado. Whatever the reason, I find myself about to cycle 70 miles from Ipswich to Cambridge in aid of East Anglia Children's Hospices. Saturday mornings are usually devoted to serious duvet time until at least 9:30 but, tomorrow, I'll be up and out an hour before that, heading for the official start line. Whatever was I thinking?

The latest weather check says cloudy, with a chance of rain in the early afternoon - just about the time I'll probably be struggling over the hills on the Suffolk/Cambridgeshire border. Of more concern is the likelihood of a headwind, so I'm going to need to draft behind someone bigger than me as much as possible.

I'm starting to think this is going to be a bit of an ordeal... but you can make it less of one by sponsoring me at my just giving page: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/michael-kidd6. Go on, splash some cash for this good cause.
